Electric Cars for the Future

Many of us have heard and perhaps seen the electric car and perhaps had a little interest in it. With the recent surge in gas prices, the failing economy and the environmental concerns, the interest in this type of car is on the rise.

How the car operates is basically off a motor that is recharged with everyday common electricity. The motor is strictly electrical. The amount of power that is used is regulated through the accelerator pedal.

The electric car should not be confused with the hybrid car, as they work on entirely different premises. One of the reasons people are not beating down the doors of these electric car manufacturers to purchase one is because they still have several negative factors to them. To begin with it can’t go all that far without having to be recharged. Then it takes a long time to recharge them as well. In addition to this it doesn’t seem that they are too well received by the car manufacturers who would have to produce them.

It quite obvious that these are not permanent downfalls however. There is research currently going on to produce greater technology in regards to the battery. Once the problems in this area have been solved, there is every indication it would go into production.

There is no controversy when it comes to the fact that it operates clean meaning there is no exhaust emissions. Then there is the argument though that would be a greater demand on electricity supplies and the stigma that centers around this is the pollution it would cause.

So does one plan on the possibility of purchasing an electric car in the future? To answer this most likely one has to realize that man is very innovative as proven by the modern technology of today. The battery issue will most definitely be solved and there is no other reason that electric cars will not become the way of transportation for the future. Again though this is going to depend on the creative ways that will have to be designed for the production of electricity.

One has to ask as well as to what this will do to the many companies that now supply the fuel for our vehicles. It’s obvious the electric car will do them irreparable damage. Is this something that the economy is going to allow and is this car going to be able to hold its own against the large oil conglomerates? I guess we just have to wait to see what the future holds.

The battery problem is already solved, There won’t be any batteries in the future, there will be Lithium ion capacitors. They are light-weight and recharge in a few miniutes. they can be recharged 100000 times. They are also much cheaper to make.
I read they tested a prototype in an all electric drag racer and looks very promising. Capacitors are much superior. C’mon future!
